13 week study of the fight for freedom and the founding of our great nation from the conclusion of the French and Indian War all the way through the writing of the Constitution!

Covers  - HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY, SCIENCE, HYMN and PICTURE study, as well as CREATIVE WRITING assignments (including making your own colonial newspaper!

Daily Lesson Plans for 3 regular days and 1 busy or co-op day, leaving an extra day for other activities!

GO TOGETHER: FREEDOM FOUNDERS is a story-based, activity-rich, and play-full adventure for the whole family! Learning alongside your children is such a delight. You will experience the ups and downs of our freedom founders as you learn to identify God’s providence along the way. Recognizing how the Lord is at work in and through people across history inspires us to acknowledge that He is at work in us today, too! History truly is HIS story. 

In addition to learning about the history and geography of our great nation, you will focus on civics as you learn about the great debates that shaped the ideas that became enshrined in our founding documents. You will experience the culture through reading living books and dramatizing key events. Science, in the form of chemistry and physics, is included as you study not just the history of the colonial period and its warfare, but also the science that made it possible. This foundation for later chemistry study forms a fun thread to the upcoming weeks. Each week there will be opportunities to develop communication skills through creative writing assignments, presentations, or copywork. Discussing powerful art and singing great hymns from this age round out this integrated approach to learning.
